
Recipe: Apple compote with mirin
Ingredients:
Honmirin 3 years,
Apples
Lemons
Getting started:
- Pour 600 ml of honmirin into a saucepan and bring to a boil.
Allow the alcohol to evaporate completely.
- In the meantime, peel the apples and cut into wedges.
- Turn off the heat and add the juice of the lemon.
- Add the apple wedges and heat over medium heat.
- When the whole thing boils, add the rest of the honmirin.
- Cover with baking paper and let it simmer for 10 to 15 minutes. simmer.
