Recipe: Apple compote with mirin

Ingredients:

Honmirin 3 years,
Apples
Lemons

Getting started:

  1. Pour 600 ml of honmirin into a saucepan and bring to a boil.
    Allow the alcohol to evaporate completely.
  2. In the meantime, peel the apples and cut into wedges.
  3. Turn off the heat and add the juice of the lemon.
  4. Add the apple wedges and heat over medium heat.
  5. When the whole thing boils, add the rest of the honmirin.
  6. Cover with baking paper and let it simmer for 10 to 15 minutes. simmer.
  7. Allow to cool and store in the refrigerator.
