Hojicha powder is the result of the careful roasting and pulverizing of high quality Sencha green tea leaves, grown in the Kyoto region and chosen for their perfect balance of strength and subtlety.
Before the leaves are pulverized, they are roasted according to Hojicha’s traditional production methods, so that they get their distinctive amber color, nutty caramel flavor and their enchanting roasted aroma.

Pulverizing the roasted leaves in an airflow machine ensures the production of a finely ground powder with a grain size: 10μm – which emphasizes the flavors, color and aroma of the Hojicha tea, which does not change or fade after baking and perfectly goes together with dairy products for the preparation of ice cream (Houjicha lattes, tapioca drinks, …) and sweets (cakes, chocolate, ice cream, riz au lait, waffles, pancakes, creams,…).
